Totana 1578 is a historical deduction and investigation game built around observation, logic, documents, objects, and the player’s decisions. Investigate the irregularities surrounding shipments arriving from the overseas territories and discover, within the walls of the monastery of Santa Eulalia, the forgotten legacy of a Franciscan friar who came decades earlier from Tír Chonaill, homeland of the O'Donnell dynasty.
It is a work of historical fiction inspired by real places, dates, people and circumstances. These references provide context and credibility for a fictional narrative; the project is not intended as an exact reconstruction, an academic study or a historical reference source.
Designed for everyone. Conceived from the beginning so that people with visual or hearing disabilities, as well as any player, can share the same experience.
Current project status
The mission engine, narrative system, investigation mechanics, minigames and main game logic are already completed.
We are currently completing the script of the book that provides the narrative foundation and converting its content into situations, decisions, documents, characters and other playable elements.
This website shows the real state of development with the aim of gathering the support needed to produce the final art, music, voices and accessibility tools planned for the final version.
